The National Research Council of Canada (NRC)

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) partners with Canadian industry to take research impacts from the lab to the marketplace, where people can experience the benefits. This market-driven focus delivers innovation faster, enhances people’s lives and addresses some of the world’s most pressing problems. Through its partnerships, the NRC invests in strategic R&D programming that will address critical issues for the future. The Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) operates within the NRC’s Construction Research Centre. The CCMC assesses compliance with the National Model Codes and helps manufacturers get market approval to support innovation and growth in the Canadian construction industry.

The Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC)

The Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) facilitates the adoption of innovative construction products by offering a national-level product assessment service to support the Canadian regulatory and design community in construction product approvals. The CCMC registry of product assessments contains assessments for hundreds of construction products to evaluate their compliance with the National Model Codes and other relevant standards. The CCMC also publishes bulletins related to its technical assessments and news about the centre. The ACBOA Membership is in the Canadian Construction Materials Centre’s (CCMC) name.
