NBCC 2020 Complex Buildings (3 Days)

Course Description:

This course has been designed to enhance the knowledge of practitioners who wish to improve their competence in interpreting and implementing the principles of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC) with respect to large buildings (Vol. 1 Division B Part 3) with the emphasis on complex buildings defined as:

  • Buildings containing building systems, works, fixtures and service systems to which Subsection 3.2.6 or Articles 3.2.8.3. to 3.2.8.11. apply

  • Safety within Floor Areas

  • Measures for Safety in high Buildings
  • Mezzanines and interconnected floor spaces
  • Structural Design, HVAC, Plumbing
  • Resource Conservation

NBCC 2020 Large Buildings

Assessment:

Examination will be conducted to assess understanding of the course material.
