This course has been designed to enhance the knowledge of practitioners who wish to improve their skills and abilities and develop strategies to enhance their plan examination duties as they relate to housing under Part 9 of the building code. It is not meant to deal with code deficiencies or technical requirements although they will be used to highlight plan examination strategy and concepts. The use of examples that we call “Building Blocks” will focus on the application of the Building Code and related standards, and the strategies and concepts in the course.
